The
organization I am going to look at here is Google. Google has one of the best
HR departments in the world. Google is that company that hires competent
employees who are smart and remarkably determined. Ability over experience is
usually the key. The company is global. It includes people from all walks of
life speaking different languages but with a common goal. Google is
headquartered in Mountain View, California (Googleplex) and has more than 70
offices in over 40 countries worldwide ("Google", 2015).
The
Google HR department ensures that there are efficient training programs and
performance management to expend the hr capabilities (Guest, 2016). The HR department conducts regular
reviews of the training programs to ensure that they meet the organizational
needs.
A company is complete due to its employees.
Google workers are all over the world. The type of people afforded jobs is
intelligent, clever, determined, focused and always ambitious for success. As
mentioned earlier, Google more interested the ability to perform duties
appropriately rather than the experience one has. This prefers substance to
form (Mims, 2015).
Google
employees are very much privileged people (Guest, 2016). The company provides them with
never-ending perks to make sure that their life at the company is worthwhile.
The employees are provided with gourmet food and snacks for breakfast, lunch
and even dinner for those staying up late. All this is for free! One would
argue that being fed and staying healthy is the key to success. All in all,
this gives them a morale-boosting drive.
Leaders
at Google ought to have top notch qualities. Such quality includes having
cognitive ability. These are smart people who can be curious enough to develop
solutions to problems in the world that are seen to be lacking any fix. This
enhances invention and innovation a great deal. Also, this brings about growth
to the company and its ability to deal with challenging work. Success is thus
guaranteed ("Google,"
2014).
